ABOUT THE AREA

A Victorian town with a Mediteranean feel, Ventnor is one of the sunniest spots on the Island.  It is home to the famous botanical gardens, a sheltered beach and a selection of excellent bars and restaurants, not forgetting the best fish & chips on the Island!  The eclectic mix of shops in the town rounds off a popular Island holiday destination.

The beach is a mix of mainly sand and shingle set between steep zig zag hills leading off to St Lawrence on one side and Bonchurch on the other.  For the more adventurous there is the hidden gem of the beach at Steephill Cove for a delightful day out.
